David Haskett

Co-Founder & Attorney at Law

I pride myself on developing positive working relationships with my clients and communicating with them in a straightforward manner to explain complex legal concepts, guide them through all phases of civil litigation, and provide the tools necessary to obtain the best result possible for each case. I am an experienced litigator who has spent hundreds of hours advocating on my clients' behalf in court, arbitration, and mediation.

Prior to co-founding Haskett Williams Monaghan, I gained substantial experience representing clients from all walks of life in a variety of domestic relations cases and other civil matters, including high asset dissolution proceedings, high-conflict custodial and parenting time disputes, interstate move cases, custody, support, and parenting time modification proceedings, stalking protective order proceedings, collections matters, contractual disputes, and related matters.

During law school I served as a federal judicial clerk for the Honorable Judge Jeffrey C. Manske at the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas – Waco Division, where I was involved in several criminal and civil proceedings and helped implement a cutting-edge alternative dispute resolution tool that was successfully used to resolve a substantial construction dispute (known as the “Baylor Jury Project”). I also served as a legal extern at the in-house general counsel’s office at Tri-Met in Portland, Oregon, where he participated in numerous grievance arbitrations, assisted in the preparation of witnesses, researched legal strategies, and drafted legal memorandums, amongst other issues, and as a research assistant briefly for Buckley Law in Lake Oswego, Oregon.

I am an avid fan of the Arkansas Razorbacks and the New England Patriots.  In addition to practicing law, I am passionate about fitness and the outdoors, spending much of my time working out, boxing, practicing martial arts, walking my dogs (Luka and Mars), hiking, fishing, floating, practicing marksmanship, and finding other new ways to explore the beautiful Pacific Northwest.

I also enjoy movies, theater, writing and producing music, reading, and occasionally binge-watching a good series on Netflix.
