Kelly is a career trial attorney who has dedicated his practice to criminal law and investigations.  Prior to joining Haskett Williams Monaghan Attorneys at Law, Kelly served as a prosecutor in Deschutes, Lane, and Benton Counties, where he successfully prosecuted a wide range of crimes including DUII and traffic offenses, violent crimes involving domestic violence, sexual offenses, and homicide, as well as drug, property, and gun crimes.  As a prosecutor Kelly helped coordinate investigations with state and federal law enforcement agencies, including the Oregon and United States Department of Justice, the Federal Bureau of Investigations, and the United States Marshals Service.  He has also provided training seminars to law enforcement officers, and even prosecutors, across Oregon.  

Kelly brings his unique training, experience, and trial skills to the service of his clients facing criminal charges and investigations across Oregon.  He takes great pride in achieving fair and just results for his clients. He has successfully defended clients facing an array of criminal charges.

Born and raised in the high plains of Wyoming, Kelly attended the University of Wyoming where he studied English and Philosophy and competed on the Men’s Division I Rugby Team.  He then enrolled at the University of Wyoming College of Law, where he served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Criminal Justice Department teaching courses in criminal and constitutional law to senior-level undergraduates.  Kelly graduated from the University of Wyoming College of Law with Honors in 2015.  

Kelly enjoys maintaining an active lifestyle with his family.  His interests include music, fly-fishing, surfing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and traveling.
